just the beginning...

Craig,

Just wanted to send a note of encouragement about your vision for CB. I am so grateful to this church and for the work happening at CB. Although I grew up learning about Jesus and what He did so that I could be saved, I never fully 'understood' what that meant. Through my time at FB-North and CB, I understood the love Christ had for ME and accepted him as my savior in the dark silent wilderness of CB. I cried (and could still) at the amazing calming feeling I had and overwhelming love I felt.

One of my favorite memories of CB is having to use the restroom in the middle of the night some time later and being scared of the boogieman that was out in the woods waiting to get me. I also very vividly remember saying over and over "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength" all the way to the restroom and back. I know it was a simple and silly fear to call on such a big God...but I made it to the bathroom and back without getting caught by the boogie man! :)

What I didn't know then was having the faith to call on such a big God to get me through that simple little fear was just the beginning. I have had many fears over the past 15 or more years, big and small, but I always go back to that same verse and that big God. It was a simple spark that God put inside my heart so many years ago at CB that has continued to grow and burn. I will always be grateful for the spark started at CB... thank you.
