Still and Quiet

I've been going to Castle Bluff since I was in high school over 20 years ago. I have a very vivid memory of my first time there: we were given 20 minutes one night to sit silently, alone. What a challenge for a teenager!
I remember sitting outside, looking up at the stars, clear and close. I remember, probably for the first time ever - just trying to listen. Trying to hear what God would say to me, rather than the list of things I wanted to say to Him. The space there, and the quiet, and the distance from the buzz of life made it easier to do. It's one of the things I've always loved (and still do) about being up there.
